Glebar Co., Inc. established in 1952 in Franklin Lakes New Jersey, designs and builds precision grinding systems gauging systems and provides grinding services. (http://www.glebar.com/machines_medical.html) Glebar and has been involved in the medical industry since 1965. We also build gauging systems and offer contract grinding services. Glebar is an ISO 9001:2000 certified company and our equipment can be supplied with CE Certification.

Glebar was first to grind shapes in stainless steel and nickel titanium guide wire in 1966 and since then have developed a line of precision grinding systems used by all major guide wire manufacturers in the world. Glebar supplies turnkey grinding machines with gauging and auto feeding.

Our latest development is the CAM SXE, (http://www.glebar.com/machines_camsxe.html) designed to produce intricate parts with hex, thread, square, flat and ball shapes and can grind parts down to 0.0005" diameter. This patented machine makes it possible to produce conventional guidewires at centerless grinding speeds with 30 times better accuracy on length tolerance. Previous centerless grinding systems held a tolerance of 30 thousandths of an inch, while the CAM SXE holds a tolerance of one thousandth of an inch on length. Diameter accuracy is better than 0.00005". Furthermore, the CAM SXE does not need a regulating wheel, and work rest blades to run. The machine's design has eliminated the majority of variables on conventional centerless grinders in order to have an easy set up and streamlined production process. This development is steadily shifting the industry to use this technology in order to achieve better quality parts and higher yields. Glebar also produces precision grinding systems for form metals, plastics, ceramics, composites and various other materials.

Due to our involvement with high tolerance parts on a daily basis, we have developed the latest in laser and imaging gauge systems for quality control requirements. These machines have become industry standards and indispensable in the production process.

This has allowed us to produce better machines for our customers, support them with their capacity problems and facilitate their product development by quickly producing prototypes. The facility is equipped with the latest in Glebar precision grinding and gauging equipment and conforms to ISO-9001:2000 standards.
