TISSUE CUTTERS

The cylindrical razor blades manufactured by Technical Innovations are used as stand-alone cutting devices and as components in surgical instruments for making circular incisions. Variations include cutting edge diameters, shapes, lengths and styles to meet the specifications of the application. Applications include coronary by-pass procedures, tissue sampling, corneal and cartilage harvesting, biopsies and hair transplants.

HOLE-MAKING MACHINES AND SYSTEMS

Technical Innovations designs and manufactures precision hole-drilling and punching systems for the medical device industry. The range of products includes manual, pneumatic and computer-controlled, three and four axis hole-making systems for placing precise holes in single- and multi-lumen tubing, catheters, sheets and other medical polymers. TI offers three series of automated hole-making systems: the CL₂ Series, the LT Series and the Smart Quill. Both the CL₂ and LT series machines can be configured as Smart Drillers or Smart Punchers and are capable of storing multiple patterns and performing high volume, repetitive hole-making operations. The Smart Quill Drilling System provides smooth, accurate, automated drill cycles with the need for programming. Additionally, the CL₂ Series systems can be equipped with plug detection/counting and collection systems and outfitted with an array of application specific options, including lumen-sensing and locating technology that may be beneficial for hole patterns in multi-lumen tubing.
