Ron Pilchik
Principal Consultant
Ron Pilchik is an expert in the packaging of medical devices and is
the principal of the Techmark Group. With over 30 years experience
working in the healthcare manufacturing industry, he consults with
multinational medical device manufacturers to select, develop and
validate appropriate packaging.
Ron is extensively involved in all aspects of packaging research, development and
applications. He is an acclaimed leader in the industry with active involvement,
including: chairman of the healthcare packaging section of the Technical
Association of the Pulp and Paper Industry (TAPPI), past chairman of the
packaging committee of the Health Industries Manufacturers Association (HIMA)
and member of AAMI's ISO 198 working group on packaging. He has authored
technical papers and conducted seminars (including seminars for FDA personnel)
on all aspects of packaging selection, validation and use; and has contributed
chapters to books on medical device packaging. Ron also lectures on packaging
technology at Fairleigh Dickinson University, Rutherford, New Jersey. He is a
packaging expert on the Teltech Network and Field Editor for Technomic
Publishing Company.
