Master Bond Inc. has developed a line of high performance adhesives, sealants and encapsulants which are successfully employed for the manufacture of both disposable and reusable medical devices. These uniquely designed products offer designers and manufacturers of medical products the level of reliability and performance essential for the many different operating conditions encountered in use. These include autoclaving as well as various other types of sterilization, exposure to a large variety of fluids and even occasional physical abuse of the devices thusly assembled. The Master Bond product line of medical grade adhesives includes both one and two component systems which can be cured either at ambient or elevated temperatures as well as uv curable systems, formulated to polymerize within a few seconds in most cases. They are based on specially prepared epoxy, polyurethane, acrylic, silicone, polyamide resins and include such specialties as cyanoacrylates, anaerobic, hot melts and latex formulations. Resistance to most of the presently used sterilants is outstanding with pertinent physical strength and bonding properties maintained after such treatments.

Master Bond Inc. manufactures a line of 3000 grades of adhesives, sealants, potting/encapsulants compounds, impregnants and specialty coating systems. GUN APPLICATOR

Master Bond Inc. offers a simple to use gun applicator for dispensing two component epoxy systems. Separate disposable cartridges are filled with the appropriate epoxy system. The cartridges have two barrels — one for the "A" component and one for the "B" component. They are molded together as one to house the two components. When prepared for use the cartridge is inserted in the gun. Thorough blending of materials is achieved by utilizing a motionless mixer consisting of a series of stationary baffles aligned in the tube.

Cartridge sizes are 50 ml, 200 ml and 400 ml. A variety of different mix ratios can be used. The gun is compatible for epoxies with mix ratios of 1:1, 2:1, 4:1 and 10:1. The gun applicator is manually operated. A pneumatic-powered gun applicator is also available. In addition a wide range of mixers can be used for the proper mix and flow rate.

ULTRA VIOLET SPECIALITY PACKAGING

Master Bond Inc. has developed a highly effective custom resin packaging system for UV curable adhesives/sealants and coatings. The Master Bond system includes a "double light barrier" - the UV compound is packaged in a light blocking black applicator and the syringe itself is sealed in a black plastic pouch until ready for use. All packaging processes occur in a totally light free environment. This system greatly lengthens shelf life at ambient temperatures.

Syringe sizes range from 1 cc to 30 cc. A variety of viscosities and types of compounds can be packaged in this fashion. The Master Bond system prevents premature contamination of the compounds. Precise premeasured amounts can be safely and efficiently dispensed.
