Medical device researchers and engineers have come to rely on the Olympus LEXT OLS3100® confocal laser scanning microscope for excellent resolving power, high-precision 3D measurement, and more. The system has outstanding 0.12 micron resolution, and magnification power from 120x to 14,400x satisfies the needs of most research applications. Brightfield, darkfield and differential interference contrast (DIC) techniques are possible in both video and laser confocal imaging modes.

With the SZX16® zoom stereo microscope, users can see more detail, capture more image information and work more comfortably than ever before. It offers one of the largest zoom ratios (16.4:1) available in a stereo microscope. Using the 0.5x objective, for example, researchers can zoom from a 62.8 mm field of view to a 3.8 mm field of view. The system's objectives offer better resolution, with higher numerical apertures (NAs) for enhanced light collection; they include a unique 2x objective that can resolve 900 line pairs per millimeter and a 1x objective with an NA of 0.15, the highest NA for any commercially available stereo objective of this magnification.

The SZ61TR® zoom stereo microscope incorporates a Greenough optical system to meet the demand for a variety of observation and documentation needs in a compact stand. New ergonomic elements make the instrument even more comfortable to use while "green" design elements, including lead-free glass, maintain Olympus' commitment to preserving the environment. The SZ61TR offers the best zoom ratio in its class, outstanding depth of field, and a trinocular tube for easy attachment of digital cameras.

Olympus STM6® series measuring microscopes offer excellent versatility and high performance three-axis measurement of parts and electrical components, with sub-micron precision. UIS2 infinity corrected optics ensure the highest image quality, and low magnification optics provide even more flexibility. The system features motorized focusing, the ability to measure outside the field of view, superior repeatability, an integrated counter, and a new line of automated stages.

The BX51® microscope offers increased rigidity coupled with easy-to-operate front controls on a compact space-efficient frame. Based around an enhanced, ultra-stable Y-shaped frame, and incorporating proprietary Olympus UIS2 objectives, it allows an extended range of accessories and objectives to be used, including a variety of heavy attachments required for many critical microscopy applications. The BX51 is a strong platform for standard brightfield, darkfield and DIC imaging as well as advanced imaging in both the near IR and deep UV.

Olympus Discover Series Image Analysis Software and DP72® camera are perfect for handling image capture, analysis and management. The 12.8 megapixel DP72 camera is our top-of-the-line research microscopy camera, combining the fastest high-resolution image capture and transfer rates available with high-fidelity color reproduction, delivering unsurpassed performance in its class. Discover series software handles phase or particle analysis, grain-sizing, extensive measurements, archiving and more with ease. Reports are generated with the click of a button and saved in an easily accessible file format. Users can "stitch" a montage of images in the X-Y axis or combine Z-axis images into a single, perfectly focused image. The Discover series offers extended focal imaging (EFI), providing 3D images at the touch of a button.

Filter inspector is a comprehensive residue analysis system for fully automated analysis, classification and documentation of particulate material found in standard filters. With its user-friendly graphical user interface, it allows users to simply click "Start," walk away, and return a few minutes later to a fully populated, accurate report conforming to industry standards.
