Component Engineers Inc. is the contract manufacturing leader assisting hundreds of companies in the design, development, and production of critical medical components. Working in our 34,000 sq. ft. facility, our capabilities include precision metal stamping, vertical CNC machining, CNC turning, and wire EDM. CEI specializes in the production of complex surgical device components, including tubing components, mechanical components, blades, staples and staplers, implants, and jaws. Medical Device Components

ISO 13485 certified, we specialize in manufacturing components for Class I to Class III surgical devices for the medical device and design industry utilizing stamping, machining, and subassembly operations.

Product categories include surgical staplers and staples, vascular products, orthopedic instruments, spinal surgery tools, dental products and devices, and general medical components used in vascular surgery, gastrointestinal surgery, abdominal surgery, orthopedic surgery, dental surgery, and bariatrics surgery.

Metal Stamping

With over 40 power presses with progressive, compound, and secondary operations, CEI specializes in handling complex projects as miniature as surgical staples and as large as .250 thick industrial casings. Our 300 Ton Minster Press has a bed size of 108" by 42", allowing us the ability to handle large progressive tools with multiple stations.

CNC Machining

High-speed vertical CNC machining centers allow us to mill, drill, and 3D machine precision components in high or low volumes.

Operations include CNC milling & turning, tube operations, deburring & tumbling, marking & engraving, assembly & subassembly, heat treating, surface finishing, plating, cleaning & painting, prototyping & production. Materials used include stainless steel, titanium, aluminum, and other metals and plastics.

Wire EDM

Specializing in prototype and production runs of tight tolerance parts (tolerances to +/- .0001) utilizing precision Wire EDM centers.

From prototype through production, we process stainless steel, titanium, aluminum, tool s steel, & carbide wire as well as other metals and offer secondary stamping & machining, as well as marking/engraving, assembly, and subassembly.

Precision Laser Marking & Engraving

Our in-house machines allow for high and low volume markings of logos, graphics, identification numbers, bar codes, and data matrices. Offering both traditional and circumferential laser marking.

Design Assistance

Our experts provide design, development, reverse engineering and rapid prototyping services to bring your idea, invention, product, or mechanical component to reality.

Our design engineers will start in the early research and development stages and facilitate in designing a manufacturable device. CAD files and prints will be generated, and in-house prototyping and testing puts the product into motion. From there, a manufacturing plan will be created and implemented, which will include the full spectrum of tool and fixture manufacturing, prototyping, production, inspection, capabilities studies, and delivery.
