Vaupell, Inc. manufactures custom components and subassemblies for medical device OEM's. Our ISO 13485:2003 and FDA registered facilities are located in Agawam, MA and Constantine, MI, and include Class 10K and 100K cleanroom and non-cleanroom molding and assembly capability.

Vaupell has unparalleled experience manufacturing short-term & long-term implantable and non-implanted devices in engineered resins such as PEEK™, ULTEM™, RADEL™, Glass & Carbon filled compounds, and others.

Vaupell is the leading provider of resorbable resin molding. We combine technical expertise in molding inherently high-viscosity materials, with the understanding of resorbable product designs and knowledge of design requirements for use of PLA, PLLA, PLGA & custom resorbable compounds. Critical properties of the resorbable material are controlled through the implementation of Scientific Injection Molding (SIM) processes. Our innovative process control capabilities ensure consistent part geometry and absorption performance, with cold-chain supply chain solutions integrated into our service offering. We currently manufacture products from some of the market leading OEM's in the sports medicine, orthopaedic, and cosmetic markets.

Vaupell has in-house design and development of injection molds, with domestic and off-shore locations. We have staff of 13 tooling designers for injection molds, as well as designers and developers of customer fixtures and gauges for use in the manufacturing environment.

Vaupell's Rapid Solutions division, located in Hudson, NH, offers rapid prototyping from the simplest SLA prototype to pre-production parts, with decoration and assembly sufficient to be used for user preference evaluation or non-human clinical trials.

Our team of project engineers is focused only on pre-production parts in both plastic and metal. We work with design engineers to solve their design for manufacturability problems in addition to addressing costs concerns for rapid prototyping. Our capabilities span all forms of prototyping, including one of our newest applications, which is Direct Metal Laser Sintering or DMLS. DMLS builds parts from powdered metal in thin layers (20 microns/.0008 inches) with walls as thin as 0.2mm (.008 inches) any typical tolerances of + .001 inch/inch.
