Tronex Technology, Inc. is a manufacturer of precision hand tools that are employed in the production of medical devices, particularly devices used for coronary and vascular intervention.

Tronex makes over 100 different models of cutters and pliers. Each model is designed for high performance, comfort, quality, and value. Each tool is individually tested and inspected. All cutters and pliers are 100% manufactured at the Company's factory in Northern California.

Tronex has designed and manufactured custom tools for end users with very special requirements. Also, tools can be marked with unique serial numbers.

For over 20 years Tronex Technology, Inc. has been making precision hand tools that can:

  • Cut a broad range of wire diameters, including very fine (.05mm) wire
  • Cut exceptionally flush
  • Cut for hundreds of thousands of cuts before becoming dull
  • Cut with micro-sized tips for superior access
  • Cut fine hard wire such as made from stainless steel, Nitinol, and Elgiloy
  • Cut or hold with operator ease and comfort
  • Cut several wires with one cut of the tool
  • Cut or hold with a standard handle length or with long, ergonomic handles
  • Cut at angles and with long jaw extensions
  • Cut very well after having been resharpened

The Company, with its Razor Flush ® design, is the leader in the design and manufacture of cutters that produce burr-free, exceptionally flush cuts. All Razor Flush® cutters have extra sharp edges and a set screw stop to reduce dulling and to eliminate overlapping.

Tronex also makes cutters of Tungsten Alloy construction with cutting edges hardened to 66 to 68 Rockwell C. These unique cutting tools, often called "stent cutters" have been used very successfully in the manufacture of medical devices. They are often used by operators working under a microscope.
