Heraeus Medical Components Division acquired the interventional business unit of Synovis Life Technologies on February 1, 2008. The combination of Heraeus MCD and Synovis Interventional creates one of the largest medical component manufacturers in the US.

Heraeus Medical Components Division brings customers of Synovis Interventional Solutions a precious metals resource and with a long history of metals expertise. Heraeus MCD provides complete traceability from raw materials to final component or complex assembly.
