Comet is a precision manufacturer of injection molds and a wide variety of plastic components for the pharmaceutical and medical device industry. The company has expertise and broad experience in product design, mold manufacturing and injection molding of finished products.
Comet can do it all: One source for design, tool construction and injection molding. It also offers services on the a la carte basis. Customers can purchase their molds from Comet and do the manufacturing themselves. In addition, Comet can function as a contract manufacturing resource for new product runs or to supplement existing production capacity. The company now manufactures droppers in a wide variety of standard sizes, styles and colors available for immediate shipment or it can produce custom versions. Comet is not new to dropper manufacturing; for 25 years, the company has built molds for one of the largest domestic dropper suppliers. Producing high quality, Class I injection molds as well as finished products have earned Comet a nation-wide reputation. The big reason: a very innovative engineering team, an in-house ASQI metrology laboratory that certifies all tooling dimensions for accuracy, and stringent controls throughout all processes. Comet will tackle any challenge - from
simple one-cavity prototypes to complex 96-cavity, hot runners. Their 73,000 square foot facility also includes a Class 10,000 clean room, the latest design and production equipment, such as: a 3-D CAD system with 3-D solids and part animation, Statistical Process Control System, CNC machinery, 30 molding presses, advanced robotics, vision system, and specialized assembly equipment.
