SpeedMask® Temporary Medical Masking Resins
DYMAX SpeedMask UV curable temporary medical masking resins are residue-free and offer reliable protection during most metal finishing processes. Temporary masking resins replace tape, wax, lacquers and fixture application processes and can seal and protect machined, ground or polished surfaces during tumbling, peening, abrading or cleaning. UV curable masking resins can be applied and UV cured in seconds, are easy to incorporate into automated systems and help reduce labor, rework and scrap. SpeedMask UV curable masking resins peel at room temperature, dissolve in water and leave no residue behind. SPEEDMASK UV curable medical masking resins are ideal for use on orthopaedic implants such as knee replacements and hip stems, surgical instruments and medical devices.

Multi-Purpose Medical Device Adhesives
DYMAX multi-purpose UV/visible light curing adhesives provide high-strength bonds to polycarbonate, ABS, PVC, acrylic and a variety of glass and metal substrates found in medical disposable devices. 100% solvent-free UV medical device adhesives are USP Class IV approved and ISO 10993 certified to biocompatibility standards. The ability to cure MD adhesives with UV or visible light permits bonding of substrates that are UV blocking or practically opaque. Multi-purpose adhesives fluoresce under low intensity black light permitting in-line inspection and uninterrupted processing.
NEW! 1165-M Adhesive
MD® Medical Device 1165-M adhesive, a new solvent-free medical device adhesive, forms tough, tack-free, flexible bonds to plasticized PVC, PC and EVA. 1165-M has a silicone-like softness with the toughness of acrylic for rapid bonding of plastics used in the manufacture of medical devices, such as tube set fittings and gaskets that require a flexible bond joint. 1165-M adhesive cures in seconds upon exposure to UV/visible light for greater throughput and lower assembly costs. 1165-M dispenses easily for precise quantity and placement of adhesive and when cured with DYMAX UV light curing spot lamps, focused beam lamps, or flood lamps, it delivers optimum speed and performance for medical device assembly. This adhesive meets ISO 10993 Cytotoxicity bio-approval and is in full compliance with the RoHS Directives 2002/95/EC and 2003/11EC.
NEW! 1161-M Adhesive
MD® Medical Device 1161-M adhesive aggressively bonds to a wide variety of flexible and rigid plastics as well as stainless steel. 1161-M provides a single solution for all combinations of dissimilar substrates such as polycarbonate, acrylic, nylon, stainless steel, PVC and polyurethane for applications that are limited, and typically require the use of multiple adhesives or assembly methods. 1161-M fluoresces for in-line inspection under low intensity "black" light for in-line inspection. It is ideal for bonding tube sets and reservoirs and syringe assembly.

Catheter Bonding Adhesives
The DYMAX "CTH" line of adhesives was formulated to meet the unique challenges associated with the assembly of catheter materials and design. These adhesives provide excellent adhesion, flexibility, consistency and fast cure speeds. "CTH" adhesives are capable of bonding materials such as Nylon, PEBAX, PEEK, Polyurethane and Polyethylene.

Syringe/Needle Bonding Adhesives
DYMAX adhesives cure "on demand" at room temperature upon exposure to UV and visible light. The combination of high intensity visible and longwave UV light greatly enhances our adhesives' speed and depth of cure. This advantage offers the greatest benefit in needle bonding applications involving opaque hubs and deep wells. Visible light curing also permits bonding of UV blocking and heavily tinted plastics. Complete cures in as little as one second make these adhesives ideally suited for automated assembly lines, which incorporate immediate in-line testing, and packaging. Brilliantly fluorescing needle bonding adhesives enhance the performance of automated sensing and vision systems, leading to higher production yields and improved quality assurance. Adhesives are single component, and require no mixing or special storage conditions.

Anesthesia Mask Bonding Adhesives
The DYMAX "MSK" line of adhesives was formulated to provide 100% solvent-free, cost saving assembly solutions for anesthesia mask production, as well as other components in a breathing circuit. The "MSK" series adhesives cure in seconds providing the ability to increase output without additional labor or line expansion. Strong, flexible bonds are produced which offer excellent resistance to thermal changes. They can be used to bond dissimilar substrate combinations including, Polyethylene, Styrene, Polyurethane and CAP. In-line PVC, Polycarbonate inspection of the bond area is made possible through the adhesives' ability to fluoresce upon exposure to low intensity "black" light, which is employed in many vision system packages.

Reservoir Bonding Adhesives
DYMAX UV curing MD® adhesives for reservoir bonding and filter potting are able to bond through UV blocked or virtually opaque plastics. Solvent-free medical device adhesives replace ultrasonic welding applications and costly two-part products. MD ® medical device adhesives have excellent moisture and humidity resistance and can bond similar and dissimilar substrates. The "bond on demand" and fluorescing features of DYMAX MD UV adhesives permit in-line functional testing. They are ideal for reservoir and heat exchanger bonding, transducer and oxygenator assembly, medical potting applications and bonding tube sets to fittings.

UV/Visible Light Curing Systems
DYMAX sells a complete line of UV/visible light curing lamps and conveyors that are perfectly matched to cure DYMAX adhesives. DYMAX UV equipment is designed for maximum curing efficiency in long wave and visible light to achieve the ultimate in productivity. Reduce processing times and improve overall product quality with high speed, in-line conveyorized production. High intensity UV curing spot lamps, UV curing flood and focused beam lamps, and UV curing conveyor systems are available to meet your specific production requirements. CE marked units are available.
